Are you ready to Pulse it Out?

New Client FAQs:

  1. BEGINNERS WELCOMED. We know that trying out a new workout can be intimidating, but don’t worry, everyone is welcomed at Pulse. We don’t have a class for beginners because our Coaches have been trained to give you modifications and hands-on adjustments to help you get the best workout in a safe manner!

  2. ARRIVE EARLY. Arrive 10 minutes early to give us enough time to show you how to safely use our Pilates-inspired Reformer, ask you questions, etc. If you don’t arrive early, you will NOT be allowed to take the class because we cannot interrupt a class to show you how to use the machine. If you don’t arrive early to your first class, you will lose your class credit.

  3. SPECIAL OFFERS. Due to the limited number of spots per class, we do not offer free classes. However, we have multiple new-client specials. First-time clients can buy 2 class credits for $44 ($22 per class) or 5 classes for $99 ($19.80 per class).

  4. PARKING. There is street parking along Sunset Dr. and there are multiple parking garages within walking distance. It is recommend you use the parking garage on the corner of SW 58th Ct. and SW 73rd St. If you attend a class before 9am, then street parking is free.

What to Expect:

  1. NOT TRADITIONAL PILATES. While the workout at Pulse is on a Pilates-inspired Reformer, it is significantly more intense than traditional Pilates. However, clients will still receive some of the benefits that come from traditional Pilates, such as:

-It’s low-impact, so you will not put stress on your joints. This is great for people with past injuries, such as knee injuries, because you will never have to jump or run.

-There is a high focus on core strength to improve your balance and make you stronger.

  2. SMALL GROUP TRAINING. The class is limited to 12 clients, so each session is intimate. Our Coaches are trained to correct your form and give you tips on how to maximize your workout. .

  3. NO BUILT-IN BREAKS. The workout is 45 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of stretching. Therefore, to get the best results in the least amount of time, there are no built-in breaks in the program. You can take a short break at any point during class, but try your best to maximize your time under tension.

  4. PACE OF MOVEMENT FLUCTUATES. You will move slowly most of the class to focus on your mind-muscle connection, but there will be short cardio burst to get your heart pumping and your body sweating!
